When we remove your braces, we will begin the retention phase of your treatment. Your orthodontic result depends on the successful wearing of retainers. Life time retention of your orthodontic result is highly recommended for all patients. The first set of retainers and a year of retention follow up is included in the cost of your treatment.
The bonded retainers attached to the back of your teeth are to remain in place indefinitely. The removable retainer for the upper teeth should be worn every night for two years and then every other night as needed to maintain the fit and keep the teeth aligned.
