First Visit

We look forward to meeting you on your first visit to our office.  During this time, we will help you get acquainted with our office and learn about your orthodontic treatment needs.  We understand that each patient’s orthodontic treatment is different and we promise to give you the personal attention you deserve.

Your first visit will consist of an examination, explanation of the findings and a discussion of the treatment options.  Prior to your examination, diagnostic photographs and a panoramic radiograph are taken. These are essential for Dr. Booth to do a thorough evaluation. All aspects of recommended treatment will be explained and a written summary will be given to the patient.  A detailed diagnostic summary and a copy of the photographs and radiograph will be sent to your family dentist.

Records and Separator Appointment

The taking of additional diagnostic records (study model impressions and i-Cat 3-D imaging) will be taken at the initial exam appointment if possible.  These additional records allow Dr. Booth further study for comprehensive treatment planning.  The separators (or spacers) are used to separate the furthest back molars to allow placement of a brace and are usually inserted several days prior to placing braces.
